Art QuestPrivacy Policy
Art Quest is made by Cameron Banga. This policy explains what information the app handles and what leaves your device. In short: Art Quest does not collect your personal data, has no accounts, and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking.
Information stored on your device
Your Quest is saved only on your device. That includes the works you mark as Seen or Must-See, the dates, notes, and tags you add, and your app preferences. This data is never sent to us. It is removed when you delete the app.
Location
If you allow it, Art Quest uses your location to show your position on the map and to find museums near you. Your location is used on your device only. It is not stored, shared, or sent to us or anyone else.
Requests to other services
Some features load information from services run by others. When you use them, your device contacts those services directly, which means they can see your device's IP address and the request itself:
- Search: search text is sent to Wikidata to find works and artists, and to Wikimedia services for artwork information.
- Artwork details and images: images and descriptions are loaded from Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia, and the websites of the museums that publish their images.
Those services have their own privacy policies. Art Quest does not add identifiers, accounts, or tracking to these requests.
Children
Art Quest is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
